Daydreamer
Looking in a window
But all is black,
My mind soon wanders
Along its own track
It goes to a land
Where rain and rock battle;
Rain drops explode,
Rock is dismantled.
My mind is carried away by a furious storm;
No longer restless,
No longer warm.
It finds itself surrounded
By blackened sea,
No longer mine
But still not quite free.
Finally, it finds its way back to my head.
I remember what happened then try to forget.
I’ve been shown things I’m not meant to see
So with a lingering sigh I return to how it’s meant to be.
