Recently, the 12 AS and A2 French students took part in an exchange trip to Lille, with our link school there called Lycée Margerite de Flandres, Gondecourt. This was in association with a project, funded by the Lefèvre Trust, in which the pupils carried out research on the Old Industries of both Belfast and Lille. Earlier in the year Aquinas took part in a French exchange with our partner school Lycée Maguerite de Flandres in Lille. It was an amazing experience and we all have some great memories from it. Click on the image below to find out more.

The French department has secured funding from the British Council Lefèvre Trust for a joint exchange project with our partner school the Lycée Maguerite de Flandres in Lille. Sixth from students will produce a comparative project on the regeneration both areas, with a focus on the Titanic quarter in Belfast and the mining villages in Nord –Pas –de Calais.  French students will visit Belfast in September 2009 and students from Aquinas will travel to Lille in March 2010.
